The first season of the HBO Max series It: Welcome to Derry will be available on 4K Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and DVD on May 5, 2026. The limited edition Steelbook version quickly sold out at Amazon, but it’s still available for $40 at Gruv. Walmart is also expected to begin taking preorders soon. If you’re a Stephen King fan, it’s best to preorder quickly, as previous releases of It have sold out fast. This is the first It TV series and the first Stephen King TV adaptation to be released on 4K Blu-ray, and currently, the Limited Edition Steelbook is the only way to own it in 4K.
You can now watch the complete first season of Welcome to Derry on HBO Max. If you don’t have HBO Max, you can purchase the season on platforms like Amazon Prime Video for $22.
The first season of ‘Welcome to Derry’ has been well-received, earning an 80% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and pleasing many fans of Stephen King’s original novel. While HBO hasn’t confirmed a second season yet, director Andy Muschietti envisions the series spanning three seasons. Season one focuses on Pennywise’s terrifying activities in 1962. If renewed, season two would go back in time to 1935, showing Pennywise’s previous attacks, and season three would be set even further back, in 1908.
