IShowSpeed walked out of a football game in Algeria after fans started throwing things at him.
The incident occurred while the streamer was in Africa, visiting the game and walking around the field before it started.
After people started throwing things at him, Speed’s security team advised him to go back to the entrance of the players’ tunnel.
Security steps in after crowd reaction
When stadium staff and the streamer’s security team pointed out that the booing seemed to be because he wasn’t wearing the home team’s jersey (he was wearing an Algeria football shirt), he attempted to relocate within the stadium. However, the crowd continued to throw things at him.
It’s still not entirely clear why the crowd reacted the way they did, but a stadium employee explained to Speed that the fans seemed to appreciate him personally, even though they didn’t want to be recorded. They disliked being filmed, but they liked him.
Speed explained, “They clearly don’t like me. People don’t usually throw water on someone they appreciate.” He was then asked to leave the field by his security team.

While moving to a different part of the stadium, Speed continued:
People here don’t want to be recorded – everyone has their phones out, and even a national news channel is filming. Are you really going to complain about them? It’s clear they don’t want me here, so maybe we should just go.
When Speed and his team reached their private box with a view of the stands, people in the crowd continued to throw things at them, including bottles filled with liquid.
As he left the stadium, Speed explained, “Don’t let a few negative moments ruin everything. One bad experience shouldn’t overshadow all the positive energy. The whole event was filled with support, especially from my fans in Algeria. I just don’t understand what happened at the stadium itself.”
Speed’s Africa tour is ongoing and is scheduled to conclude in late January 2026.
