Shortly after the latest episode of Season 3 aired, the streaming service announced that Jenny Han will direct and co-write the script for a new movie, working with Sarah Kucserka.

Details about the movie’s story are still a secret, but Han hinted that a major new event will happen in Belly’s life as the story unfolds.

As a huge fan, I gotta say, *The Summer I Turned Pretty* has really blown up! Amazon MGM Studios’ Courtenay Valenti basically said it’s connected with people all over the world, giving us those feel-good vibes, reminding us of our own summers, and just bringing people together. It’s awesome to see it become such a big hit!

We’re thrilled with how popular the series has become and are excited to work with Jenny Han again to create another amazing story for fans.
