Steam is a leading platform for buying PC games, so when it experiences downtime, it’s particularly noticeable. Maintaining a service with so many users and a large community isn’t easy, which is why Steam typically undergoes maintenance on Tuesdays. However, this week, something went wrong. After a brief period of working normally, the store is now having issues again – it’s loading slowly, displaying error codes, or showing a message that says, “An error occurred while processing your request.”
Is Steam down?
Steam isn’t fully working after today’s maintenance. It was briefly okay, but now users are encountering issues with the Steam store. Initially, there was broken code visible, then the store got stuck loading, and now it’s displaying an error message saying something went wrong with the request. Unfortunately, there’s nothing users can do to fix this – we just need to wait for Valve to resolve the problem on their end. They are working on it quickly, so hopefully, it will be fixed soon.
Steam is generally reliable and performs well, but it occasionally experiences issues. The most recent major outage happened around the launch of Silksong, although several platforms were affected, so it wasn’t entirely Steam’s fault. Hopefully, Valve will resolve the underlying problem quickly.
