I’m already excited about what Chelsea Handler is bringing to Hulu! I read in Variety that she’s developing a new sitcom called Townhouse, and the premise sounds hilarious. It’s about a former reality star trying to get her life back on track with a pretty chaotic crew, and then her daughter shows up, forcing her to face being a mom – something she’s always avoided. Apparently, the show’s creator, Zoe Young, has a connection to Sonja Morgan from The Real Housewives of New York City, which just makes it even more interesting! I can already picture some great scenes – it’s going to be good!
Reports indicate that a woman named Young previously interned for Sonja Morgan and worked at her home. According to Page Six, she appeared in three episodes of the final season of The Real Housewives of New York City. It seems the connection between them might simply be the strange realities of fame and the challenges of being a mother – things many people, including those on RHONY, can likely understand. A spokesperson for Morgan told Vulture they see Young finding inspiration in her time working for them as a positive thing, noting that not everyone’s life makes it onto television. Morgan is currently busy with touring and new TV projects, and they are looking forward to the future. Ultimately, Morgan is having a more successful year than Jill Zarin.
