In an utterly shocking turn of events (as if anyone could have predicted this), the world of NFTs has surged once again, as the volume of sales has increased by a whopping 5.98%, reaching $161.7 million. Who would have thought? Certainly not the skeptics!
- We hit a grand total of $161.7M in NFT sales, with buyers growing by 126% to a staggering 382K.
- Ethereum stepped up, reclaiming its throne with $102.7M in sales.
- But wait, Pudgy Penguins went through the roof, jumping 165% with $15.6M in weekly sales.
So, as expected, the NFT market is as hot as ever. Participation? Oh, it’s *through the roof*. The number of NFT buyers skyrocketed by 126.59% to 382,846, and the number of sellers is also up by 124.15%, now at 341,290. Even NFT transactions increased by 2.48%, totaling 1,703,436. We’re all buying and selling things that no one can physically touch! Truly a modern marvel.
Meanwhile, in the world of cryptocurrency, things are a bit… less glamorous. Bitcoin is experiencing a decline, now sitting at the rather modest $106,000 level. Ethereum has also slipped to a lowly $3,800. Don’t worry though, those NFTs are still doing their thing, even as the broader crypto market cap shrinks to $3.62 trillion. Seems like NFTs are the rebellious child in a family of declining assets.
The Battle for the Top Spot: 45.com Dominates, Pudgy Penguins Are Right on Its Tail
Let’s talk about the true victors of the week: 45.com, which dominates the Ethereum collection like a bull in a china shop, pulling in $31.28 million across 9,607 transactions. Impressive, right? This collection attracted 4,980 buyers and-hold onto your hats-only 5 sellers. That’s some serious dominance… with zero growth, I guess. Talk about flatlining.
Pudgy Penguins, as we’ve come to know them, have surged an astonishing 165% to secure second place with $15.61 million in sales. Yes, those adorable little penguins are taking the world by storm. 🐧✨

The Ethereum collection, of course, continued its valiant effort with 528 transactions, involving 252 buyers and 220 sellers. Oh, and don’t forget the LilPudgys, which performed admirably in seventh place, pulling in $4.60 million, a 27.24% gain. Cuteness certainly pays off.
Meanwhile, DX Terminal, once a contender for greatness, took a nosedive to third place with $9.99 million, a 23.84% drop from last week. Perhaps it’s the competition; who can compete with penguins, really?
DMarket managed to stay afloat at $8.07 million, up 4.78%. Bored Ape Yacht Club-yes, the very same elite club of apes-climbed to fifth with $5.47 million, a modest 2.78% increase. Even Moonbirds couldn’t keep up, dropping 20.23% to $5.32 million. Birds of a feather… fall together?
Ethereum: The Return of the King
Against all odds, Ethereum has returned to its former glory, reclaiming the top blockchain position with a healthy $102.67 million in sales, a 23.45% increase from last week. How? Why? We’ll never truly know, but it also recorded a suspicious $12.54 million in wash trading (who’s counting?). But hey, it’s working, right? More buyers, more problems, as they say.
Base, however, fell to second place with $13.20 million, a 13.73% drop. Bitcoin’s journey downward continues, dropping 27.76% to $10.11 million, but its buyers grew by 163.11%. Who’s got the patience to deal with all this volatility?

Mythos Chain barely held on to fourth position with $8.23 million, while BNB Chain took fifth place at $6.51 million. Solana finished sixth, grumbling in its $5.40 million of sales, a 24.56% drop. Are we sure Solana didn’t just need a vacation?
In the individual sales category, Bored Ape Yacht Club #1878 stole the spotlight with a massive $1.65 million sale. And four CryptoPunks rounded out the top sales list, each fetching a hefty sum. If you’re wondering if these characters will be relevant in five years, well, they probably will be, and they’ll still be ridiculously overpriced.
