Invisible Narratives has responded to growing worries about the creator of Skibidi Toilet, DaFuqBoom, and his role in the series. This comes after many people online raised concerns and started the #bringboomback campaign.
This explanation follows fan-shared screenshots suggesting the creator was struggling with losing creative control, money problems, and dissatisfaction with how things were going with recent projects.
Invisible Narratives shared more details with TopMob about their collaboration with creator Alexey Gerasimov.

After working together for two years, Gerasimov told Invisible Narratives he wanted to sell his channel and step back from the demanding work of creating and managing the series. He explained that animating each episode and keeping up with the public side of things was exhausting, but he still wanted to be creatively involved.
Company says Gerasimov remains executive producer
According to Invisible Narratives, Alexey Gerasimov is now an executive producer for Skibidi Toilet, meaning he’s in charge of the show’s overall creative vision, reviewing each episode and helping to shape the story. He’s also scheduled to direct four upcoming episodes that will be released next year.
This announcement differs from online posts seemingly made by the creator, which suggested worries about slow progress, poor communication, and feeling left out of the process.
I’ve been seeing all these screenshots online, and it’s sparked a big movement – #bringboomback. Basically, everyone’s asking for more clarity about what’s going on with him and what his role is. We just want to know what’s happening!
There’s a lot of concern about what’s happening with Dafuqboom Invisible Narratives, and many people are calling for things to be restored. People are reaching out to creators like @DaveOshry, @MoistCr1TiKaL, @garrynewman, and @Blue10373599Guy to help. #bringboomback #skibiditoilet #dafuqboom #invisiblenarratives

Invisible Narratives clarifies Michael Bay’s involvement
They also explained that Michael Bay doesn’t actually own Invisible Narrative, but instead works with them as a creative advisor.
Bay’s name appeared in many popular online posts, and some people mistakenly thought he owned the company.
I haven’t heard anything directly from Gerasimov about what’s going on, or what the company is planning to do. It’s all pretty frustrating! Meanwhile, everyone’s still talking about it online – the #bringboomback hashtag is everywhere as fans share their thoughts and feelings about everything that’s come out.
CEO says burnout played a role in the creator’s decision to sell
Adam Goodman, CEO and founder of Invisible Narratives, spoke to IGN about the intense work schedule and challenges faced by the creator of Skibidi Toilet.
Goodman believes YouTube has been incredibly beneficial for creative individuals, allowing them to share unique work without needing approval from traditional industry gatekeepers – something Hollywood could really use. However, he also points out the risk of burnout, as consistently producing this much content is extremely challenging, especially for animators working alone.
Alexey’s dedication is truly heroic. He’s been single-handedly creating episode after episode, year after year, achieving a level of output that even large animation studios with entire teams struggle to reach.
Goodman also explained that creators under pressure to quickly produce popular work often face a lot of public criticism. He believes everyone needs time off when working under those conditions, and that Alexey deserves a chance to rest, recover, and find new inspiration.
No matter what Alexey does next, people will be eager to support him – he’s earned that level of loyalty. We hope fans will have a chance to appreciate everything he’s accomplished, and we’d love to see him return refreshed and continue working with us on his current and future projects.
