Prime Video shocked viewers with a post-credit scene in Invincible Season 4, Episode 6, following the brutal fight between Invincible and Conquest just one episode earlier.
In the last episode, Mark proved his bravery by rematching Conquest, but the fight left him seriously injured and stranded on an alien planet for two months to heal. Meanwhile, Omni-Man and Oliver worked to rebuild their relationship, and Omni-Man also began training Mark in combat.
After some recovery – involving a surprisingly effective alien remedy and lots of rest – Mark was able to rejoin the fight. Luckily, he did, because he and his allies arrived just in time to prevent Thragg and the Viltrum Empire from completely destroying the Coalition of Planets’ base.
The end of Invincible Season 4, Episode 6 left fans shaken after a post-credit scene suggested the villain Conquest might still be alive. Be warned – spoilers follow!
Invincible’s Conquest post credits scene “trolled” fans to make it look like the villain survived
NO FUCKING WAY, ARE YOU KIDDING ME

Following the battle where Mark, Oliver, and Omni-Man saved the Coalition of Planets and exposed the Viltrumite spy, the post-credits scene focuses on Conquest’s grave. As ominous music plays, the camera closes in, hinting that Conquest might recover and emerge from his grave.
The scene then cuts back to a silent, wide shot of the grave, making it clear that Conquest is truly dead and won’t be returning. It was a relief! However, many fans were surprised that the show briefly led them to believe it was changing the storyline from the original comic books.
A Reddit user questioned if the character Conquest was still alive, but other fans quickly explained it was a misleading post-credit scene and that Conquest is, in fact, dead.
One viewer explained the scene was humorous because Invincible often builds on existing plot points with increasing exaggeration. They felt the show deliberately led viewers to believe Conky might still be alive, only to subvert expectations. Another fan praised the show’s unique approach, saying they’d never seen a series that played with its audience like this before.
Yes, Conquest is actually dead – just like in the comics

To be clear, Invincible definitively killed Conquest at the end of their battle by choking him. This demonstrates Mark’s incredible strength – he maintained his grip on Conquest’s throat even while Conquest punched through his stomach and pulled out his intestines.
The battle unfolds identically to how it’s depicted in the comic books, with both Omni-Man and Oliver helping Mark recover on the alien world. Omni-Man even recreates the same gravesite, but the comic version doesn’t mislead readers into thinking the villain survived – making the surprise reveal after the credits in the ‘Conquest’ episode so shocking.
While the outcome of the war against the Viltrumites remains uncertain, you can enjoy the soundtrack from the first four seasons of the Invincible TV show. The show itself is now considered “lost media,” and here’s an update on the possibility of an Invincible movie.
