‘Invincible’ Season 3 Adds Nine to Cast, Including Jonathan Banks, Aaron Paul, Simu Liu, Tzi Ma

“Invincible” has built out a stacked voice cast for its upcoming third season.

The third season of the animated Amazon Prime Video comic book series has brought on board several new stars: Aaron Paul (known for “Breaking Bad” and “BoJack Horseman”), Simu Liu (“Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” and “Atlas”), Jonathan Banks (“Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul”), Kate Mara (“House of Cards” and “A Teacher”), Xolo Maridueña (“Cobra Kai” and “Blue Beetle”), John DiMaggio (“Futurama” and “Adventure Time”), Tzi Ma (“The Farewell” and “Kung Fu”), Doug Bradley (“Hellraiser” franchise), and Christian Convery (“Sweet Tooth” and “Cocaine Bear”).

Below, you’ll find character descriptions for many of our latest cast members. However, specific details about who actors Banks and Bradley will portray are currently confidential.

Previously announced, the initial three episodes of “Invincible” Season 3 will become available on Amazon Prime Video starting February 6. Subsequent episodes will be released each week on Thursdays, continuing until March 13. The series stars Steven Yeun as Mark Grayson, also known as Invincible, and features a talented voice cast that includes J.K. Simmons, Sandra Oh, Walton Goggins, Gillian Jacobs, Jason Mantzoukas, Zazie Beetz, among others.

The TV series “Invincible” is inspired by the comics of the same title, which were created by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley. Robert Kirkman serves as executive producer alongside Seth Rogen, David Alpert, Catherine Winder, Simon Racioppa, Margaret M. Dean, and Evan Goldberg. Helen Leigh and Cory Walker co-executive produce the series. Skybound Entertainment and Amazon MGM Studios collaborate on its production.

Character Descriptions

Introducing the latest antagonist, Powerplex (portrayed by Aaron Paul), who carries a complex emotional history. This formidable character has a unique ability: he can assimilate energy, enabling him to harness an adversary’s power and turn it against them. In this case, his adversary is none other than Invincible.

With an intense dislike towards Invincible, Becky collaborates with Powerplex in a quest for the justice she feels was previously withheld.

Characterized by a grave demeanor, John DiMaggio’s character, the Elephant, is a formidable antagonist with an aptly ominous name and appearance. He advocates for a vegetarian world, though his intentions may extend beyond this cause. Regardless of his other desires, what matters most is that he is perceived as a credible adversary… by someone. Pray, let him find an audience.

Mr. Liu (played by Tzi Ma), beneath his weathered appearance, conceals a merciless mastermind who heads The Order – a global criminal organization. However, there’s more to this enigmatic elderly man than meets the eye.
