Instagram model Lauren Blake Boultier is facing criticism after people accused her of digitally altering a photo to put her face on another person’s body – specifically, the body of a Black influencer.
Lauren Blake Boultier faced criticism on Instagram after falsely claiming she attended the Miami Open in March. She posted a photo that actually belonged to Tatiana Elizabeth and was originally taken at the 2024 US Open.
It was obvious Blake’s photo had been placed on top of Elizabeth’s, and although Elizabeth apologized, she doesn’t think she was responsible for the change.
After the issue came to light, Blake claimed an AI company she hired was responsible, but Elizabeth believes the apology wasn’t genuine.
Black Instagram model slams Lauren Blake’s apology for face swap
Okay, so Blake – she’s a big streamer with over 1.6 million followers – admitted the image used someone else’s face, specifically Elizabeth’s. But she said it wasn’t her fault, and that the AI company she hired was responsible for it.
She said the situation went against everything she believes in and emphasized that she is accountable for all content shared on her social media accounts.

The model added that she removed the most and reached out to Elizabeth to apologize privately.
As a huge fan, I was really upset to hear about the issues with how some content was being handled, so I’m glad I’m taking a more active role with my agency to make sure everything is treated with the respect it deserves from now on. Honestly, I feel terrible about the pain this caused the original artist and the whole community, and I sincerely apologize for that.
Elizabeth told TMZ she didn’t accept Blake’s apology and believes he’s trying to quickly put the issue behind them.
She doesn’t believe the apology was genuine. It seems to her like the person just wants to quickly resolve the issue and return to normal. She feels the apology wasn’t honest or sincere, and that it was simply said to move things forward.

Elizabeth shared that Serena Williams personally invited her to the US Open, marking a significant moment in her modeling career.
It was a really amazing experience. Throughout history, Black women have often been imitated and served as inspiration for others, but haven’t received the recognition or credit they deserve.
Blake has not named the third-party agency she worked with.
