While everyone is talking about Hollow Knight: Silksong, another indie game is quickly gaining popularity. No, I’m Not a Human, a new horror game from Critical Reflex, has already attracted a large audience on Twitch in just a few days since it launched.
The game “No, I’m Not a Human” has become quite popular on Twitch, with over 124,000 people watching streams of it at its peak. While it’s received a less enthusiastic response on Steam, currently peaking at around 8,248 players, this may be because it’s a single-player experience, unlike the multiplayer focus of many popular Steam games.
Developed by the Russian studio Trioskaz, *No, I’m Not a Human* is set in a post-apocalyptic world where the sun’s rays are deadly to people. While humans can venture out at night, they share the darkness with dangerous creatures-visitors who often look like people-and are constantly hunted.
The game unfolds within your character’s home, where guests arrive seeking assistance. Some of these guests might even help *you* survive. However, a constant sense of unease hangs over everything – are these people who they seem to be, or are they Visitors trying to deceive you? These Visitors will attempt to catch you off guard and kill the human guests while they’re asleep. Figuring out the subtle clues that separate humans from Visitors could be the key to survival. Each night, news reports reveal more about what makes Visitors unique, but be warned: some traits are shared by both humans and Visitors.
Right now, No, I’m Not a Human is only playable on computers. But the developers, Critical Reflex, are planning to release it on consoles sometime later.
