Today, Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road received a new update (version 1.2.4) on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Steam, and Xbox Series. The update includes new features, gameplay balancing, improvements to online play, and other changes.
The new update hasn’t arrived for Switch and Switch 2 yet, but that’s understandable. Previous updates for Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time were also held up on Nintendo systems while going through the certification process. Besides the platform release, today’s update also tweaks the objectives in chapter 9 of story mode and changes the rewards you get in ranked matches.

Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know that Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road is finally out on pretty much everything! You can grab it now for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, the new Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam. I’ve already been playing it on PC and Steam Deck – you can check out my thoughts on that here. And if you’re a Switch or Switch 2 player, I’ve got impressions on those versions too, linked here!
You can find the full patch notes and new update screenshots from Level-5 below:

Bug Fixes
We fixed a bug in the Spirit Exchange that caused Spirits to not be used up after you spent them.
We fixed a bug that caused players to receive Ranked Match points even when a match was disconnected. Now, points will only be awarded for completed matches.
As a big fan of the Special Training, I was so glad to see they fixed that annoying bug with the Gatling Kraken Trap! It was super frustrating when it wouldn’t disappear after you used it, especially if your game ran at a high frame rate. Now it clears properly, which makes training so much smoother.
We fixed a bug in BB Stadium where, after loading a Campaign Mode save and winning a game, the game would occasionally get stuck and not start the next match. Now, the game should progress normally after winning a match when continuing a campaign.
We fixed a bug in Story Mode, Chapter 6 that sometimes prevented players from continuing after winning the skill challenge.
We fixed a bug in Story Mode, Chapter 8, during the match against Royal Academy. Sometimes, the visual effect from a Special Tactic would stick around on the screen longer than it should.
We’ve resolved a bug in Story Mode, Chapter 8, during the match against Royal Academy. Previously, players could sometimes use the same special tactic twice in a row during the second half – this is now fixed.
We fixed a bug in Story Mode that caused the number of abilities shown to be wrong. This happened because the game was accidentally looking at ability information from other game modes.
We fixed a problem in Story Mode, Chapter 9 where players controlling Darian Moonward could travel to South Cirrus Junior High but get stuck there, stopping them from continuing the game. Now you can return to Raimon and progress further.
I was so relieved to see a fix for that annoying bug in Story Mode! Basically, if you opened the map right as you touched one of those red lines showing where you couldn’t go, the game would just freeze up. It’s fixed now, which is awesome!
● Fixed other minor bugs.
