The connection between the shows Fire Country and Sheriff Country is strengthening as the new series progresses. We first saw Max Thieriot reprise his role as Bode to assist Skye in the premiere. Now, the second episode will feature two more familiar faces from Fire Country – one as a guest star and the other directing the episode.

In a behind-the-scenes look at the set of Sheriff Country, Diane Farr and Kevin Alejandro are filming in a new location. Farr will return as her character Sheron Leone in the second episode of the series, while Kevin Alejandro takes on the role of director. Here’s what makes this development so interesting.

Kevin Alejandro Is Directing Episodes Of Sheriff Country

I’m so excited to see Kevin Alejandro directing episodes of Sheriff Country! He’s been amazing directing Fire Country too – he’s directed several episodes each season. He recently talked to CBS about how Fire Country really set the stage for this new spinoff, and you can just tell how much he cares about it. It’s great to see him continuing his work on this universe!

We’ve moved into a new area of Edgewater. With ‘Fire Country,’ we’ve established this world and developed characters that feel authentic, and viewers are really connecting with them – they’re eager to learn more about everything.

Alejandro is a fantastic addition to the show. He’s been playing Manny since the very beginning of Fire Country and has also directed several important episodes, including the Season 1 midseason finale (Episode 8) and the Season 3 midseason premiere (Episode 9).

Morena Baccarin, the star of Sheriff Country who plays Mickey, also had kind words for the actor and director, saying he has a deep understanding of the show’s world. Fellow Fire Country alum Farr also praised him, and it was heartwarming to see both veteran actors so enthusiastic about being involved in this new series.

Diane Far Will Appear As Sharon Leone In Sheriff Country

Alejandro, who directed an episode of Sheriff Country, will also share the screen with his Fire Country colleague, Diane Farr. She plays Sharon, Mikey’s stepsister, and the original series showed they have a strong connection despite occasional disagreements. We can expect to see their complex relationship explored in this new episode.

I’m really looking forward to hearing Alejandro’s perspective, especially since he previously directed Farr on another project. He shared that:

I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to work with and direct my fellow actors. We’ve all known each other for a while, and it feels natural. For example, when Diane came on set recently, it was like welcoming family – a really positive energy. We genuinely support each other.

That’s wonderful to hear, and I’m really looking forward to seeing how Sheriff Country and Fire Country might connect.
