As the 2025 TV season ends, it’s been a pretty good year overall, but I’m disappointed as a reality TV fan. I was hoping to see another season of Celebrity Big Brother or Big Brother: Reindeer Games next winter, but CBS has decided not to move forward with either show.
It’s unusual because CBS usually airs Big Brother when NBC is showing the Winter Olympics. However, we haven’t heard anything about a new Big Brother spinoff coming to CBS or Paramount+, but I’m still optimistic that one might be announced soon, for reasons I’ll explain.
Big Brother’s Producers Said Nothing About A Legends Season
We’ve confirmed that Reindeer Games and Celebrity Big Brother won’t be back this winter. Surprisingly, the producers didn’t say anything about a potential spinoff featuring past winners competing against each other – a concept many popular players have suggested. They’d be willing to do it if the season was shorter than usual.
It seemed unlikely producers Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan would hint at a new season, but then several past Big Brother winners started posting cryptic clues. It’s strange – would they intentionally upset dedicated BB fans? I’m not sure why they’d do that. Also, CBS hasn’t announced what it will air during the Winter Olympics, and I suspect it has something to do with Big Brother, even if it’s not a continuation of the shows fans previously liked.
What Could An “All-Winners” Season Entail?
It’s unclear if Big Brother will ever have a season featuring only past winners, but if they did, it would likely include players who’ve either won the game or been voted America’s Favorite. The season would probably play out like Celebrity Big Brother or Reindeer Games, giving these winners a chance to prove who’s the best of all time.
More On Big Brother

The producers of Big Brother have addressed concerns that the recent ‘BB Blockbuster’ competition made the game overly focused on challenges, and I completely agree with their assessment.
I’m really curious about who they’d cast for a potential season. Based on The Amazing Race Season 34, it seems they’d likely choose mostly former Big Brother houseguests who competed more recently. That season featured a lot of players from Seasons 23 onward, with very few from earlier seasons.
I’d really like to see a new version of Big Brother that features a more diverse group of contestants. It would be fascinating to see both past and present players living together and how they’d interact. Unfortunately, this is just a wishful thought of mine and hasn’t been announced by the show at all.
Currently, Big Brother isn’t airing new episodes, but you can stream previous seasons on Paramount+. If we don’t get a new spin-off show anytime soon, I might just re-watch an old season to cope with being let down.
