In 1996, George Clooney worked with Quentin Tarantino on “From Dusk Till Dawn.” Years later, it seemed they didn’t develop a friendly bond on set, as indicated by an incident that transpired afterward. Specifically, Clooney publicly accused Tarantino of making disrespectful comments about him, which led to the actor expressing his dissatisfaction with Tarantino during an interview with Brad Pitt for GQ magazine.
The performers discussed directors they’ve collaborated with throughout their careers. At one point, someone suggested Clooney should work with Tarantino, but he reminded them that they had actually had the chance before – albeit in “From Dusk Till Dawn,” where Tarantino was in front of the camera rather than behind it.
He casually shared that he’s currently irritated with Tarantino, which is why he wasn’t particularly keen on discussing him. This discontent, as Clooney stated, supposedly stemmed from an alleged comment by Tarantino who reportedly claimed about him that he isn’t a true movie star and hasn’t had a significant role since the year 2000. However, contrary to this claim, the actor has been in several notable films for his career since then.
Quentin made some remarks about me that have left me a bit peeved towards him. During an interview, he was discussing famous movie actors and mentioned Brad Pitt and another individual, but when asked about George Clooney, he dismissed him as not being a star. Then, he even questioned George’s recent filmography by saying something like “Name me a movie since the millennium.” This struck a nerve with me because my career is predominantly from the millennium. So now I find myself thinking, alright buddy, you can take your attitude and shove it. I don’t mind dishing out some criticism in return; after all, he started it.
From George Clooney’s remarks, it seems they won’t be collaborating again on a project. However, it’s hard to pinpoint which conversation with Quentin Tarantino he might have been referring to, as there appears to be no record online of such statements from the director.
