‘I’ll Never Shut Up On That!’ I’m Loving How An OG Hunger Games Actor Got In On A TikTok Trend To Point Out Their Short-Lived Role In The Franchise

The *Hunger Games* movies are now considered classics of the dystopian genre, and a new installment is in the works. *Sunrise on the Reaping* is currently being filmed as part of a wave of book-to-movie adaptations. It’s always interesting to hear what the original actors think about their roles now that a new audience is discovering these films, and I recently saw a clever TikTok video by one of the actresses who played a tribute.

Leven Rambin is a 35-year-old actress best known for playing Glimmer in the first *Hunger Games* movie. Although she’s appeared in many films and TV shows since then, that role remains a standout for her. Here’s something she recently shared on social media:

I saw this really funny post from Isabelle Fuhrman – she jumped on the TikTok trend where people share their feelings about roles they’ve had, and she talked about being in ‘The Hunger Games.’ It was hilarious because she was only in the movie for seven minutes as the tribute from District 1! She admitted she was a little bummed it wasn’t longer, but she also said it was her favorite book ever, so she was super proud to be a part of the adaptation. And she had this amazing line – she joked about whether she was in ‘7 of ATE minutes?’ – which is TikTok slang for totally killing it, even if it was just a short amount of time on screen. It was a really cute and relatable post!

Many Instagram users shared similar feelings, with some praising her performance as ‘amazing’ and calling Glimmer ‘iconic’. Here’s another post she shared about it:

You know, it’s wild to think the first *Hunger Games* movie came out 13 years ago, but it still holds up! I always felt bad for Rambin’s character, Glimmer. She was one of the ‘Careers,’ meaning she’d been prepping her entire life for the Games. But even with all that training, she didn’t stand a chance. Katniss totally took her – and a bunch of other Careers – out with a nest of those creepy tracker jackers. It was a pretty brutal scene, honestly.

Many actors with smaller roles appeared as tributes in the first *Hunger Games*, and surprisingly, several have become quite well-known since then. For instance, Jack Quaid played Marvel, the tribute from District 1 who killed Rue. Speaking of Rue, that role was played by Amandla Stenberg, who now stars in *The Acolyte*. It was really heartwarming when Stenberg even playfully forgave Quaid for his character’s actions! Plus, Isabelle Fuhrman, known for *Orphan*, also had a part as Clove in *The Hunger Games* – a fact some fans might have forgotten.

HBO Max offers streaming plans starting at $9.99 per month. You can watch popular movies like *The Hunger Games*, along with thousands of other shows, movies, and documentaries. See the deal here.

It seems like Leven Rambin really enjoyed working with the younger cast members, despite the show’s grim and unsettling setting. Even though she wasn’t in many scenes, it’s clear she still feels a strong connection to her character.

I’m really excited to see how the next competition unfolds in *Sunrise in the Reaping* – especially since we know the tributes will be safe! The new *Hunger Games* movie comes out in theaters on November 20, 2026, so keep an eye out for more information and other big movie releases that year.
