The night before I started filming Gone Girl, I was so frightened, and I couldn’t sleep.

I emailed Tom at four in the morning to explain I didn’t feel capable of taking on the job, and I was really scared. He immediately replied with a wonderfully supportive message, telling me I could do it and that I was prepared.
