Season 28 of The Voice is proving to be incredibly emotional, even though we’re only halfway through! Snoop Dogg has really helped create a close, family-like bond among the coaches, and it’s great that he started a special ritual for them before each show.

He often calls them his “family,” and refers to team members as his “niece” and “nephew.” Snoop Dogg explained to NBC that building those relationships is the most rewarding part of being a coach.

Reba McEntire recently shared with People that they have a special ritual before the show that likely contributes to this genuine rapport.
I really appreciate that the people I’m with always say a prayer before we start anything. Snoop was the one who suggested we do that.
That’s a really lovely tradition, and it’s easy to see how it brings them closer together.
You know, I’ve always loved Michael Bublé, and it’s really cool to hear him talk about how much he respects Snoop Dogg. He actually called Snoop a “sweetie pie” and shared this heartwarming story about how Snoop connected with his daughter – apparently, her kindergarten class uses Snoop’s affirmations! Bublé says Snoop makes being on The Voice a blast, but what really gets to him is how genuine and important Snoop is as a person. He was talking about it on Sunday TODAY, and it was just a really sweet moment.
It’s hilarious – people underestimate Snoop, but he’s a genuinely good person. He’s actually a big crier, even more so than Reba McEntire! And here’s a funny thing: after the first season, he secretly hired the people on his team – he’d never admit that, though.
Blake Shelton has helped out his former team members, Michael Bublé is producing his winning artist’s next album, and Kelsea Ballerini even shared her phone number with contestants. Now, Snoop Dogg is continuing this trend by hiring several contestants from Season 26 to work for him.
Everyone seems to be enjoying Snoop Dogg as a coach on the singing competition – his fellow coaches and the viewers alike! While it would be great to see him win, simply being on Team Snoop feels like a huge win for the contestants themselves.
