I Love Jesse Palmer’s Suggestion For The Next Golden Bachelorette, But There’s Another Woman I’d Like To See (And One I Absolutely Don’t)

I’m completely hooked on Mel Owens’ season of The Golden Bachelor, and it’s almost over! It’s down to Cindy Cullers and Peg Munson, and I’m so curious to see who he picks (though I’ve heard a rumor about who it might be!). Of course, everyone’s already thinking about who could be the next Golden Bachelorette. Jesse Palmer suggested someone, and while I think he’s right, I personally am rooting for a different woman from the cast to get the chance!

Jesse Palmer’s Pick For The Golden Bachelorette Season 2: Debbie Siebers

Recently, The Bachelor franchise has started casting leads who aren’t from the usual Bachelor or Bachelorette contestants, like Mel Owens and the upcoming Bachelorette Taylor Frankie Paul. However, the current group of women competing on the show are the most likely candidates to become the next Golden Bachelorette, if the show gets picked up for another season.

After the “Women Tell All” episode aired on October 29, 2025 (and is available to stream on Hulu), host Jesse Palmer publicly backed Debbie Siebers, who was unexpectedly sent home after Hometown dates. He shared his thoughts with EW, saying:

I’m a big fan of Debbie and think her life story will connect with a lot of viewers. I really hope she’s considered for the next Golden Bachelorette!

I completely agree with that decision. The fitness professional shared a painful story about a previous breakup with Mel Owens when she introduced him to her family. I’m really interested in hearing more about her experiences and hope she finds love again.

After the “Women Tell All,” though, there’s another woman who I’m pretty intrigued by …

My Pick For The Golden Bachelorette Season 2: Monica Brewer

Although Monica Brewer didn’t last long on Mel Owens’ season of the show – she was eliminated after the third rose ceremony – viewers got a glimpse of her fun personality during a group date where the contestants performed a roast of Mel. Comedian Jared Freid, who coached the women on their jokes, later shared on the “Women Tell All” special that he was very impressed with Monica.

Monica B. is a really talented comedian with a bright future. It was a pleasure to see her perform – she’s truly gifted.

Jesse Palmer agreed, telling Entertainment Weekly that he thought she definitely delivered the best roast.

I thought Monica B. was the best part of the show! She has fantastic comedic timing and delivered her lines perfectly – she was genuinely hilarious.

If she really stood out during that group date, shouldn’t she be a top contender to be the next Bachelorette? That’s exactly the kind of dynamic I’m hoping to see on Season 2 of The Golden Bachelorette. And now, let’s talk about what I don’t want to see…

Who I Don’t Want To See As The Next Lead: Nicolle Briscoe

Nicolle Briscoe quickly became the season’s antagonist, consistently making negative comments about the other contestants and appearing to prioritize fame over finding a genuine connection. Her behavior included directly asking a contestant if he would contact her if he became single, and immediately after being eliminated, actively campaigning to be the next Golden Bachelorette.

I don’t believe that’s the right move, considering she really distanced herself from the other contestants and the broader Bachelor community. I agree with the advice Debbie Siebers gave her during the ‘Women Tell All’ special.

I expected better from you. If you’re hoping to become an influencer, remember that people need to like you first.

I’m not bothered by Nicolle Briscoe being competitive with Mel Owens, or even her wanting to be an influencer. What really bothers me are the things she said about the other women, especially her comment about how the women from Season 1 weren’t attractive.

Honestly, there’s no way I could ever support online hate or bullying towards anyone. But, and this is tough to say, I just don’t see her as the right fit to be the next Golden Bachelorette. It’s not about deserving negativity, it’s just my opinion on who would be best for the show.

Don’t miss the next episode of The Golden Bachelor to find out what happens with Mel Owens! It airs Wednesday at 9 p.m. Eastern on ABC.
