‘I Broke Pedro’: Alan Cumming Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop Teasing His Avengers: Doomsday Scene With Pedro Pascal

Marvel consistently keeps its fans engaged with new movies and shows, available both in cinemas and on Disney+. One of the most exciting upcoming projects is Avengers: Doomsday, promising a huge team-up of heroes. Meanwhile, Alan Cumming is playfully hinting at his scenes with Pedro Pascal.

Details about Avengers: Doomsday are scarce, and longtime Marvel Cinematic Universe fans are desperate for news. Actor Alan Cumming hinted at a fight scene with John Pascal, who plays Reed Richards, and recently told Jimmy Kimmel that he accidentally injured Pascal during filming.

It was pretty hilarious – or at least, it’s funny looking back now – that my first scene with Pedro Pascal ended with him injuring his neck and having to leave the set. I accidentally ‘broke’ Pedro!

Honestly, I’m seeing everyone joke about “I broke Pedro” and want it on a t-shirt! I’m not sure if Alan Cumming actually had anything to do with Pedro Pascal’s injury – he might just be messing with us about it – but either way, he’s having fun hinting at those Nightcrawler scenes with Reed Richards. Come on, give us some details already! We need to know!

Disney+ offers streaming access to Marvel Cinematic Universe and X-Men content. You can start watching with ads for as little as $11.99 per month. For an ad-free experience, it’s $18.99 monthly, or you can save 16% by paying $189.99 for a full year. See the deal here.

The announcement of the cast for Doomsday revealed a large group of heroes, including the original actors from the X-Men films. Fans are excited to see how mutants will be incorporated into the story and which Marvel Cinematic Universe heroes they’ll team up with during the movie. During an interview with Kimmel, the host asked if there was a physical altercation when Pascal was injured, and Alan Cumming gave a vague answer, saying:

It wasn’t a fight, not at all. We were just acting in a scene together. It was a bit tricky though, because he has really long arms. I have a tail, but I wasn’t wearing it, and Pedro wasn’t using his arms at the time either.

I’m skeptical of what he’s saying. He previously mentioned a fight scene with Pedro Pascal, which seems odd. However, he might be trying to avoid getting in trouble with the studio and protect details about the movie. Marvel is known for being very secretive, so that’s a possibility.

The upcoming Doomsday event promises a complex story spanning multiple universes, leaving fans with many questions. With versions of the Fantastic Four and X-Men coming from different realities, their eventual interaction should be really interesting. Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom is predicted to create a villainous scheme that involves messing with time itself, and I’m excited to see how all these different worlds and characters come together.

The secrets will be unveiled when Avengers: Doomsday premieres in theaters on December 18th, as part of the 2026 film lineup. Some short previews of the movie are already out, and fans are hoping a longer trailer will be released soon.
