As a huge Arknights fan, I was so excited to finally get a long look at Endfield! Hypergryph dropped a nearly 15-minute gameplay trailer showing off the beginning of the game, and it looked amazing running on the PS5. Even better, they announced pre-registration is now open, so you can sign up to play when it launches in early 2026. It’s going to be free-to-play, which is awesome!
Arknights: EndfieldPS5 Gameplay Trailer
The PlayStation 5 demo for *Arknights: Endfield* shows the beginning of the game. It starts with players choosing their character’s gender, as they take on the role of the leader of Endfield Industries, known as the “Endministrator.” The demo then guides players through story scenes, explains how to move and fight, and culminates in a battle against a huge boss.
This boss battle is different from what players experienced in the January 2025 PC beta version of the game’s opening. During the fight, players can temporarily control an entire team of characters and experiment with abilities like chain attacks. Fans of *Arknights* will recognize at least two of these characters – they strongly resemble the *Arknights* Operators Surtr and Angelina, but are known as Laevatein and Gilberta in *Endfield*.
Okay, so after that intro, and like we saw in the Gamescom trailer, *Arknights: Endfield* looks like it’s going to be a really cool mix of action and strategy. You’ll be running around in real-time, exploring and fighting, but also building up and managing your base. Basically, you’re trying to help people rebuild society on this planet called Talos-II, and it sounds awesome!
Arknights: Endfield is set for release on PC, PS5, and mobile devices.
