Humble Games and Riyo Games have revealed a new trailer for their upcoming game, *Threads of Time*. Described as a ‘2.5D love letter to JRPG classics‘, it’s clearly inspired by beloved Japanese role-playing games.
Threads of Time was first revealed at Tokyo Game Show 2024. The game is planned for release on Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam, though a specific release date hasn’t been shared yet.

Riyo Games unveiled a new trailer for their game, Threads of Time, during the PC Gaming Show at Tokyo Games Show. This game is a modern take on classic JRPGs, featuring a unique time-bending mechanic in its turn-based battles. Players will guide a team of heroes from different time periods as they fight to protect the past and future.
The new trailer for Threads of Time showcases its unique turn-based battles where players can manipulate time to create powerful combos and defeat enemies affected by time distortions. It introduces Rin, a ninja from the year 2400 who uses illusions and sword skills to control the battlefield. The trailer takes you to Himmenheim, a prehistoric town where Vikings and dinosaurs coexist, and then jumps ahead to a glimpse of a futuristic, neon-lit cyberpunk world in 2400 AD.
