Sarah Shahi says Season 2 will be a thrilling and unforgettable experience for fans. Building on the success of the first season, the new episodes are coming soon with plenty of surprises.
In an interview with Us Weekly, Shahi described Season 2 of Paradise as “a roller-coaster ride,” and praised creator Dan Fogelman for consistently surprising viewers with unexpected twists and turns.
Just when you think you’ve figured things out, something unexpected happens and completely surprises you. Shahi shared her excitement about returning to Paradise, saying it feels wonderful to be part of a project that people genuinely enjoy. She explained that the positive response from fans gives her a real boost and makes the work even more rewarding.
Created by Dan Fogelman, the series follows a lead Secret Service agent tasked with protecting the President. The story begins three years after a catastrophic event nearly destroyed the world, leaving the few remaining survivors to rebuild their lives in massive underground bunkers.
When the President is killed, Collins immediately becomes a suspect and is investigated closely. He must quickly work to prove his innocence and expose the large-scale conspiracy behind the assassination.
Joining Jared Brown in the cast of Paradise are Sarah Shahi as therapist Gabriela Torabi, and Julianne Nicholson as the powerful Samantha “Sinatra” Redmond, who largely controls the events within the series’ main setting, a bunker. Aliyah Mastin and Percy Daggs IV play Xavier’s children, Presley and James, and James Marsden appears as the late President Cal Bradford.
When it was released, Paradise was well-received by both critics and viewers. Currently, Rotten Tomatoes reports an 86% approval rating from 80 professional critics, and an 84% audience score based on over 500 user reviews.
What Fans Can Expect from Paradise Season 2 According to Series Star Sterling K. Brown
In July 2025, showrunner Lisa Brown discussed what viewers can anticipate in Season 2. She revealed the story will expand beyond the bunker to explore the outside world, while also continuing to follow the characters’ experiences inside after Xavier’s departure.
The actor, known for their role in This Is Us, described a ‘collision’ happening when people compare life before and after a major change. They wondered what it’s like to hear about others’ experiences and what fun or unexpected things might come from those conversations.
I’m so excited for what’s coming next! It seems like after everything that happened in Season 1, the story is really expanding – we’re going to see what’s happening in the world outside the bunker. And inside, things are changing too, with a new power structure taking shape. I can’t wait to follow Xavier as he desperately searches for Teri, making both friends and enemies along the way. It sounds like a really compelling journey!
You can now watch Paradise on Hulu. The second season will begin streaming on February 23rd.
