The horror hit ‘Sinners,’ originally released in 2025, is coming back to IMAX theaters for Halloween. Here’s where and when you can see what many consider one of the year’s best movies.
The movie Sinners premiered in April and quickly became a hit with both critics and viewers. It earned a remarkable 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and has brought in over $360 million globally, despite having a production budget estimated at only $90 million.
We named it the best horror movie of 2025 to date, praising how director and writer Ryan Coogler skillfully blends different styles in ‘Sinners.’ The film uniquely combines elements of Westerns, vampire stories, and historical events, all set to a Blues soundtrack. The result is a consistently thrilling and frightening experience.
Okay, so for anyone who slept on it the first time, Sinners is hitting US theaters again, and not just any theaters – we’re talking full-blown IMAX 70mm! I’ve got all the details on where and when you can catch it below…
Where to watch ‘Sinners’ in IMAX this Halloween

The film Sinners will be back in select cinemas – including IMAX and IMAX 70mm – for a limited one-week engagement, from October 30th to November 5th, 2025.
Director Ryan Coogler believes the best way to experience his beautiful historical film is on IMAX 70mm, but unfortunately, only eight theaters in the US are equipped to show it that way. Those theaters are:
Arizona:
- Harkins Arizona Mills 18 & IMAX in Tempe
California
- Regal Irvine Spectrum & IMAX in Irvine
- Universal Cinema AMC at CityWalk Hollywood & IMAX in Los Angeles
- AMC Metreon 16 & IMAX in San Francisco
Florida
- Autonation IMAX Theater in Fort Lauderdale
Indiana
- Indiana State Museum IMAX Theatre in Indianapolis
New York
- AMC Lincoln Square 13 & IMAX in New York City
Texas
- Cinemark Dallas & IMAX in Dallas
If you enjoyed that and want more thrills, we’ve explained the ending of ‘Sinners,’ and we’ve also highlighted some of the best new movies to watch this month.
