Battlefield Redsec is a new, free-to-play battle royale game in the Battlefield series. To get an edge over other players, creating custom weapon setups is a smart move. While you’ll still find weapons during matches, building your own loadouts is usually more effective. However, unlike games like Warzone, getting those preferred guns takes a bit more effort.
In Battlefield 6 and the Redsec battle royale mode, you’ll earn weapons and attachments that are shared between both games. This means anything you unlock in multiplayer will also be available in Redsec. We’ll show you how to equip your favorite Battlefield 6 weapons for use in Redsec and get them ready for your next match.
How to make custom weapon builds in Redsec
To use your preferred weapon setup from Battlefield 6 within Redsec, you first need to save it as a favorite. Simply select the weapon in the game’s customization menu and press Triangle (on PlayStation) or Y (on Xbox). A red star will appear, letting you know it’s been saved as a favorite, as shown in the image.
It’s helpful to create different weapon setups for different fights and distances. The game lets you save up to eight of your favorite setups so you can easily switch between them.
You can get these popular Battlefield 6 weapon setups by finding Redsec’s special weapon drops – they work a lot like loadout drops in Warzone. Just remember, each drop only lets you choose one custom weapon.
How to get custom weapon drops
There are two ways to get your own custom weapon builds in Battlefield Redsec:
- You can wait for a public event
- Complete one of many Redsec missions that gives the custom weapon drop as a reward
Getting weapons through public events can be dangerous. This particular event offers random weapon drops, but unlike loadout drops in Warzone where each team gets their own package, this event only provides a limited number of drops for all players to compete over. These drops appear unexpectedly on the map, and everyone can see their location, making them a high-risk target.
Okay, so if I want to snag a sweet custom gun, the best way is to keep an eye out for missions as soon as the match starts. They’re kinda like contracts from Warzone – you get three random ones to choose from, and you and your squad can decide which one to tackle. You can find the mission list on the right side of the map when you open it up. Just scroll through them and pick the one that seems best for the team!
