MLB The Show 26 automatically updates team rosters, so you’ll always have the latest players in Exhibition games. The game downloads these updated rosters when you start it up. If you want to use these current rosters in Franchise mode, here’s how:
- Go to Settings
- Select “File Management”
- Select “Load” followed by “Roster”
- Select “Live Roster”
- When creating a new Franchise, use the option that says “Currently Active Roster”
- This will use your Live Roster
This feature lets you play MLB The Show 26’s Franchise Mode with the latest player rosters. However, you can’t update rosters in a Franchise you’ve already started. For instance, if the Red Sox made a trade with the Royals on March 15th, you’d need to begin a new Franchise that started on or after March 15th to reflect that change.
Remember to check for player injuries, as injured players might not be able to play. The game does let you adjust these injuries if you’d like, so keep that in mind when choosing your team.
Fans can also explore the Vault, a feature letting you download team lineups created by other players. You’ll likely find more rosters throughout the year that better fit your preferences. Plus, you can download custom stadiums, logos, and other content using this feature.
