How To Unlock All Class Training Paths In Battlefield 6

In Battlefield 6, each class begins with a pre-selected Training Path that’s automatically active. These paths give you unique, passive benefits that work alongside your class’s special ability. The path you choose can significantly change how you play and affect your performance in each match, meaning each class can feel quite different depending on your choices.

So, Battlefield 6’s starting classes are pretty solid, but you can actually unlock a second Training Path for each one. Honestly, I’ve found these second paths usually give you better perks that just make the class way more fun to play. The only problem? Figuring out *how* to unlock them isn’t super obvious in the game’s menus. I had to look up a guide myself, and I figured I’d share what I learned to help others out!

Unlocking new Class Training Paths in Battlefield 6

You can see all the locked Training Paths for your classes in Battlefield 6 by going to the Loadouts menu and choosing your active Training Path. It’s the triangle icon next to where you select your weapons.

So, in the ‘Select Training Path’ screen, you’ll see the starting path with all its perks. There’s also a locked path! If I hover over that locked path, the game tells me to check the Challenges menu to see what I need to do to unlock it. Basically, that’s where I find out what goals I need to hit to get access to that new training path.

Battlefield 6 has a lot of options, and figuring out how to unlock each Training Path can be tricky. We’ve simplified things by listing everything you need to know right here:

  • Assault Challenge 1 (unlocks the Deploy Spawn Beacon):

    • Get 30 kills while using the Adrenaline Injector
  • Assault Challenge 2 (unlocks Frontliner Training Path):

    • Get 20 kills or assists on concussed enemies

How to unlock Combat Engineer Training Path for Engineer

How to unlock Spec Ops Training Path for Recon

  • Recon Challenge 2 (unlocks Spec Ops Training Path):

To unlock the full training for each class in Battlefield 6, you need to finish both of its regular starting challenges. These typically require you to earn 10,000 points and use certain tools and equipment specific to that class.

Unlocking certain Training Paths can be quite challenging. For instance, getting kills while using the Adrenaline Injector as an Assault class, or landing 50 headshots from over 150 meters as a Recon, are both very tough tasks that could take several hours to complete.

Want to make faster progress on challenges in Battlefield 6? Try Portal Mode. Go to the Community game modes section and find servers with official rules turned on – this makes sure your XP and challenge progress are tracked. These servers usually have lots of bots, letting you complete tasks quickly without facing skilled human players.

To check how you’re doing on a Battlefield 6 challenge, first select the challenge you’re working on. This will make it visible in the Challenges tab during a match. You can select a challenge by hovering over it and pressing the ‘Track’ button – it’s A on Xbox, X on PlayStation, or the assigned key on PC (you’ll find the button at the bottom-right of the challenges screen).

Once you unlock a new Training Path, you need to select it for your class before it takes effect. After equipping it, the passive bonuses will apply every time you play a match with that class in Battlefield 6.
