During this journey, your team might encounter an unexpected ambush, leading to a challenging 12 versus 3 battle. If you’re not vigilant, the odds can swiftly shift to 10 against 1, making survival incredibly difficult. However, there’s a tactical approach that can help tip the scales in your favor.

To get through the surprise attack successfully, it’s crucial that you utilize the recently acquired Pistole hand cannon. Although it may not be the most comfortable to handle, it boasts a single-shot lethal ability against even heavily armored enemies. Once you command Henry, move forward slightly and search for the group’s leader, who is distinguished by his full black armor including a helmet. Swiftly point your Pistole at him and discharge it; this will instantly eliminate him from the battle.

If you don’t act fast and eliminate Captain promptly, he might unleash a destructive frenzy, wiping out your comrades in a heartbeat. This could make the battle incredibly tough going forward. Once he’s dealt with, concentrate on using your Pistol to fell armored adversaries, while also supporting your fellow troops to ensure they stay standing. They are crucial for this fight because they can single-handedly attract fire from one or two opponents each.

Another cheese strategy for Rescue the Dry Devil

Although the approach mentioned earlier might be challenging, let me tell you, it can get quite frustrating in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. However, there’s a sneaky tactic you can employ to make getting through this ambush less daunting. Firstly, aim to eliminate the Captain using your Pistole. Climb aboard this wagon and settle comfortably amidst the straw. The adversaries will approach the cart, unsure of how to reach you, so they’ll merely gather around it with their weapons at the ready. This gives you an advantage as you can take them down systematically, either by firing from your Pistole or even utilizing a bow or crossbow.

The potential issue with this approach is that if your location allows, the enemy archers might still target you, which can be frustrating. My advice would be to attempt to eliminate them first, but if that’s not feasible, position yourself so that melee-wielding enemies act as a shield between you and the archer. This could make the archer hesitant to shoot due to the risk of hitting their comrades instead.
