How to get your 2025 YouTube Music recap

YouTube Music is now offering its 2025 Recap, which shows listeners a summary of their listening habits over the past year with data, custom playlists, and a quick video highlight.

With the new year approaching, most entertainment apps are starting to offer users a way to look back at what they’ve watched or listened to over the past year.

YouTube kicked off the annual year-end recap trend on December 2nd, and Twitch quickly joined in. While Spotify’s recap is coming soon, YouTube Music users already have access to theirs.

How to see YouTube Music recap for 2025

You can find a personalized recap of your 2025 listening habits – including your favorite artists, songs, genres, and moods – right in the mobile app. Here’s how to access it:

  • Open the YouTube Music app on your phone
  • Look for the Recap card on the Home tab and tap it
  • Select 2025 Recap
  • Watch your recap and scroll through the stat pages
  • Tap through to view your autogenerated playlists and shareable cards
