Tickets for the final episodes of Stranger Things Season 5 are now available for purchase in US and Canadian cinemas, but they’re expected to sell out fast, so don’t delay!
Earlier this year, rumors circulated about a potential movie theater release for the final episode of the popular Netflix series, but the creators, the Duffer brothers, and Netflix executives quickly dismissed the possibility.
However, things have changed! Netflix now plans to show the final episode in movie theaters at the same time it becomes available for streaming.
The eighth episode, titled ‘The Rightside Up,’ will be shown in over 350 movie theaters across the US and Canada starting December 31, 2025, at 5pm Pacific Time. It will also become available to stream on Netflix at that same time and will play in theaters through January 1, 2026.
How to get cinema tickets for Stranger Things Season 5 finale
Tickets will be available for purchase starting December 2, 2025, but Regal says sales won’t begin until 8:00 AM Pacific Time or 11:00 AM Eastern Time.
Don’t miss out! Reserve your tickets tomorrow for fan screenings of the final Stranger Things episodes. This offer is available in the US and Canada only.

Currently, you can reserve tickets through Regal Cinemas in the US, but completing the reservation only lets you buy a voucher for snacks and drinks to use at the theater’s concession stand. You don’t actually purchase the ticket itself at this time.
If tickets become available, the best place to buy them in the US is directly from Regal Cinemas or Megaplex Theatres. In Canada, you can book through Cineplex.
You’ll also be able to buy tickets through popular sites like Fandango and Atom Tickets, which already have pages set up for the Stranger Things Season 5 finale.
These websites aren’t quite active yet, so keep checking back when the sale is scheduled to begin. Some retailers might even start their sales a bit later in the day, so you may experience a small delay depending on the site.

Good news! Megaplex and Regal cinemas in some areas will have many available seats, with several showtime options. At select Megaplex locations, you can see the finale on December 31st at either 6:00 PM or 9:30 PM, or anytime between 9:45 AM and 11:00 PM on January 1st.
Regal is also showing movies at 5:00 PM or 8:30 PM on New Year’s Eve, and throughout the day on New Year’s Day, from 8:40 AM to 11:00 PM. This means you could watch the final episode of Stranger Things Season 5 at home, and then see it in theaters later.
I’m so excited for this movie! It’s going to be a real event, and with a runtime of two and a half hours, it looks like we’re in for a proper, immersive experience. Honestly, I’m already bracing myself – I have a feeling I’ll need the whole time to process everything!
The first part of Stranger Things Season 5 is now available on Netflix, and the second part will be released on Christmas Day.
I’ve been diving deep into everything Stranger Things lately! I checked out the article about those parents who were worried about the new season, and it was interesting to hear their perspective. I also read about the music they’re using in Season 5, and a rundown of the best characters and episodes – seriously, reliving all the best moments was awesome!
