The big 3.0 update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons is here, adding lots of fun new things to do and characters to meet! As you’re exploring and collecting items from The Legend of Zelda, be sure to say hello to Resetti.
Longtime Animal Crossing players likely remember Resetti, who used to scold players for things like resetting their towns. However, in New Horizons, he’s changed his ways! Now, he offers a helpful service – resetting your island designs – for a small price, and he’s much more relaxed about it.
This feature isn’t automatically included in the latest update. You’ll need to unlock Resetti and learn how to use his services first. Here’s a guide to help you do that.
Resetti location
You’ll occasionally see Resetti walking around your island, similar to other visitors. When you do, talk to him – he’ll tell you about his Reset Service.
After you meet him, he’ll leave for a few days. But don’t worry, you’ll get a special device that lets you contact Resetti, who can help you tidy up parts of your island.
You can try it out for free on the first day, so we suggest taking advantage of that offer before it starts costing money.
How to use Resetti’s Reset Service
After you’ve met Resetti, talk to Isabelle at Resident Services. She’ll offer a service where you can reset your island for a full day, and it will cost 60,000 Bells.
Next, you can decide whether to reset the whole island, just the beach, or a particular spot. If you pick a specific location, make sure you’re there and use the transceiver to start the reset. Then, select “Call Him Over” to confirm.

With that, he’ll instantly clear the island of the following things:
- Furniture
- Ladders
- Items
- Flowers
- Bugs
Resetti will remove everything from your chosen spot except trees, vegetables, and weeds, giving you a blank canvas to build on.
That’s everything you need to know about getting Resetti and using his Reset Service in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. While you’re saving up the 60,000 Bells for it, don’t forget to check out our guides on unlocking Zelda items, getting a villager to move out, learning about art, and finding all the flowers in the game!
