How to Get Lure Grenades in ARC Raiders

Getting attacked by Hornets in ARC Raiders is a common problem! You’re peacefully exploring one moment, and the next, you’re dodging their attacks and trying to survive the sound of their approaching rotors.

Lure grenades are really useful when you’re not confident about your aim. Just one grenade can distract those pesky ARC machines, giving you time to escape quickly.

Let’s have a look at how to get the blueprints for the Lure Grenade and just how to craft them.

Greasing Her Palms

Just so you know, Apollo doesn’t sell grenades—it would be too simple if they did! You can find them by searching when you go to the surface, but it’s not a dependable way to collect a lot of them.

It’s best to complete a few quests before moving on. Once you finish “A Better Use” – a quest you’ll find fairly early on from Tian Wen – Celeste will offer you another quest.

This task sends you to three different locations, as shown in the images. You can visit them in any order. Here are the places you need to go:

  • The locked room in the Water Treatment Control Building on the Dam map. You will be given the keycard for the locked room, found on the central level. However, if someone has already opened it, you will still complete the objective.
  • Next, you’ll need to head to Buried City and head to the Space Travel Building, with the red border. Go up to floor 6, and you’ll notice one of the centre doors has a breach bar on. Breach the door, run around the area, and the objective will be complete.
  • Finally, the last objective is found on Spaceport. Here, you’ll need to head over to the Rocket Assembly building and wander around the thrusters found southwest of the main building. Once you’re in the middle, the final objective will be ticked off.

Go back to Celeste, and she’ll reward you with the blueprint for the Lure Grenade. You’ll also receive 3 Electrical Components and 3 Speaker Components.

Crafting the Grenade

Fortunately, the quest reward includes all the ingredients you need to make a couple of these grenades. Don’t forget to learn the crafting blueprint from the ‘Misc’ section of your inventory.

First, you’ll need to upgrade your utility station to level 2. Here’s what you’ll need to do that:

  • 2 Damaged Heatsinks
  • 5 Electrical Components
  • 6 Snitch Scanners

You can find Snitch Scanners by destroying the small, circular ARC machines that project light onto the ground. These machines are harmless, but if you leave them alone, they’ll summon enemies to help them.

After building the level 2 Utility Station, you can craft a Lure Grenade by combining a Speaker Component and an Electrical Component.

This grenade is great for throwing while exploring; it clings to walls and draws enemy ARC machines, pulling their fire towards it. Often, it’s smarter to be cautious and avoid rushing into a fight, especially if it means getting killed. These grenades can definitely be lifesavers when you’re in a tough spot.
