Just a few hours after its release, Digimon Story Time Stranger is proving to be very popular, with over 54,000 players currently enjoying it on Steam. The game is a strong contender against Pokemon, featuring equally adorable creatures to collect. It’s therefore not surprising that many fans are searching for the exclusive Digimon – Black Agumon and Black Gabumon. However, you might have missed your chance to get them.
How to get Black Agumon and Black Gabumon in Digimon Story Time Stranger
To get Black Agumon and Black Gabumon in Digimon Story Time Stranger, there’s just one thing you needed to do – preorder the game. These Digimon are special rewards only for players who purchased the game before it was officially released. Even if you buy the Ultimate Edition after the release, you won’t be able to get Black Agumon and Black Gabumon. The Digimon included with the Ultimate Edition are the standard color versions.
If you should have received Black Agumon and Black Gabumon but are experiencing difficulties claiming them, please follow these steps:
- Open your Digivice: Y (Xbox), Triangle (PS5 DualSense) or C (keyboard).
- Go to Item menu.
- Pick the last category – “Item Packs” and claim packs.

Now that you’ve progressed this far in the game, you can open your Digivice again. This time, navigate to the Digimon menu and then to Setup. There, you’ll be able to add new Digimon to your team, including Black Agumon and Black Gabumon. Good luck!
