Kirby Air Riders features a wide variety of Hats to collect. Most Hats are purchased using Miles, the game’s currency, which you can earn at Shops by customizing your ride. You gain Miles simply by playing – the further you travel, the more you earn! Completing certain in-game challenges also rewards you with bonus Miles.
Some hats aren’t unlocked by simply playing as Miles. For instance, you need to use Daroach’s special ability twice in one race to get the Silk Hat, but first you’ll have to unlock Daroach by beating Gemaine. Similarly, the Viking Helm requires breaking 10 crystals and winning the Dustop Derby 5 in City Trial.
The Pilot’s Cap is probably the simplest cosmetic to get – you just need to spend time gliding. If you play frequently, you’ll likely unlock it without much effort.
