In Borderlands 4, special events like World Bosses or Rift Champion challenges appear unexpectedly on the map. Spending all your time driving around just to find these events can become a chore.
Fortunately, there’s a method to managing Rifts. Once you learn how they function, where they usually appear, and the best way to reset them, collecting rewards to improve your strongest character builds becomes much easier.
All World Bosses locations in Borderlands 4

Above, you can see a map that indicates every single World Boss location in Borderlands 4.
Rift Champions are powerful, unpredictable bosses that appear in glowing white domes throughout the world of Kairos. These bosses don’t have set locations – they can appear at any of these domes, meaning each one offers a chance to fight a different champion.
You might encounter bosses you’ve already defeated in story mode here, and they’ll still have their special rewards. Just be careful – leaving the protected area will immediately end the battle.
Here’s a list of Rift Champions confirmed in Borderlands 4:
- Bramblesong
- Eddy ‘Four-Eyes’ Swoszowski
- Genone
- Horace (mission boss)
- Leadhead
- Lucky Lou & Handy Howard
- Psych0-Bot
- Ripsaw
- Spidanangall
- Sidney Pointylegs
- Struct Ghost
- The Exterminator
You’ll always get a reward after finishing a Rift, and it could even include a powerful legendary item. Plus, the first time you beat a Rift Champion, you’ll unlock a special achievement.
How to find World Bosses during Borderlands 4 Halloween event
During the Halloween event, it’s easier to find Rift Champions because of some noticeable changes to the environment. When you get close to an active Rift outside, the sky will turn orange and the rain will appear blood-red.

Horrors of Kairos legendaries
The Halloween bosses are currently tied to two exclusive legendaries:
- The Murmur: a Tediore assault rifle that deals bonus critical damage to low-health enemies.
- The Scully: a grenade that laughs and tracks targets before exploding.
Horrors of Kairos end date
These items will be available from these Rift events until November 6, 2025. You’ll find them in the Reward Packages you receive after completing each Rift.
Best World Bosses farming method
Heritage Opus cave reset method (Kairos)

Quickly travel to the Heritage Opus safe house, located in northeast Kairos. Head towards the water and pass through the waterfall – you’ll find a cave where Rift bubbles appear frequently.
If you don’t see a Rift open inside the cave, exit and wait five minutes on the rock outside before going back in. Players usually find a new Rift boss each time they check. Once you defeat the boss and collect your rewards, you can repeat this process to consistently earn items.
Southern Kairos seven-point route

Okay, so here’s the deal with this Rift run. I always start at The Stockroom, it’s right by Splashzone. Then I basically run a big circle, hitting seven different spots where Rifts usually pop up. Keep an eye on your compass and map – you’re looking for a little triangle with an exclamation mark on it, and also watch for those glowing white domes. That’s where the action is!
It’s best to defeat any nearby enemies before you begin, remain inside the protective dome throughout the encounter, and be sure to open all Reward Packages to see if they contain special event items.
