I’ve been really into Megabonk lately – it’s like 3D Vampire Survivors, and it’s still super popular! I was checking the other day and there were over 100,000 people playing at the same time, which is amazing. If you’re a regular player like me, you’re probably trying to unlock all the achievements. I’ve been going for the ‘Kevin’ achievement, and it’s a bit tricky. You need to find three Leeching Crystals to get it.

How to find Leeching Crystal in Megabonk

Megabonk features 102 different achievements, ranging from very easy to incredibly difficult. For instance, over 97% of Steam players have unlocked the ‘Ghost’ achievement. On the challenging side, ‘Kevin’ – named after a popular, though recently adjusted, in-game item – is one of the rarest. Only 6% of Steam players have earned it, making it the fourth most difficult achievement to obtain.

Kevin isn’t too difficult to unlock, but it requires a bit of luck and strategy. You need to find 3 Leeching Crystals during a single game run. These crystals are rare and won’t appear unless you’ve upgraded your Regen Tome to level 8. So, while luck plays a role, knowing this requirement is key.

You have a chance to receive a Regen Tome each time you level up, but it’s not a certainty, so keep trying. Once you reach level 8 and it appears, simply collect it. Then you can begin your search for the Leeching Crystal. Here’s what you need to do:

  1. search chests spread across the map,
  2. defeat bosses,
  3. trade with Shady Guy.

Using the Leeching Crystal is a bit of a gamble. It boosts your maximum health by 50%, but cuts your health regeneration in half. Even with just one, it’s risky. The more you stack them, the tougher it gets. While you’ll have a lot of health, recovering from damage will take much longer if you make a mistake and your health gets low.
