Playing ARC Raiders means every trip to the surface is exciting and dangerous. You can choose to explore and gather resources, or directly confront the powerful, robotic enemies threatening the world.
Okay, so one of the coolest things in ARC Raiders is definitely Night Raids. You might’ve noticed them showing up on the map and wondered what they’re all about. Basically, they really push you to work with your team, and I’m going to break down exactly how they work.
What are Night Raids in ARC Raiders?

Night Raids are a special event in ARC Raiders that happen only when it’s dark. You can join as long as you’ve unlocked the maps where they occur – there are no other requirements!
Okay, so Night Raids? They’re pretty much like regular raids, just… at night! You run in, grab all the loot you can carry, deal with those annoying ARC machines – either sneaking past them or taking them down – and watch out for other players who are also scavenging. The big difference is you’ve got to get back to Speranza before time runs out, or you’re in trouble!
Night Raids present a unique challenge with a few key differences. Most notably, you’ll encounter significantly more ARC enemies than usual. Be prepared for intense combat and make sure you have your strongest weapons equipped, as facing these powerful machines is almost guaranteed.
Night Raids are particularly tough because, unlike other modes, there are fewer ways to return to the lobby and no Raider Hatches at all – so leave your keys behind! This will force players to use the limited available return points, increasing the chance of encountering opponents. While you might get lucky and find friendly players, it’s best to be prepared for a fight.
The real benefit of Night Raids is the extra loot you get. When you return to Speranza, everything you collect will be worth more. Just be sure you have plenty of space in your Stash to carry it all! If you can, expanding your Safe Pocket slots is a good idea to protect your most valuable finds.
How Often Do Night Raids Happen in ARC Raiders?
Night Raids are available on many of the maps in ARC Raiders, like Dam Battlegrounds, Buried City, Spaceport, and The Blue Gate. You’ll know a Night Raid is starting because you’ll see an icon and a countdown timer below the map selection when you’re choosing where to play.
If a Night Raid appears greyed out on a map, it hasn’t opened yet. The timer displayed shows how much time is left until the raid becomes available. For example, a timer of 30 minutes means you can access the Night Raid again in 30 minutes.
When a Night Raid is available – you can select it and press ‘Confirm’ – the timer displayed shows how long you have to start the raid before it becomes temporarily unavailable. After that, Night Raids usually become available again every few hours, though the exact timing can vary. Each map has its own separate timer, so there’s always at least one Night Raid you can participate in.
