Phasmophobia features many spooky maps, and Nell’s Diner is a recent addition. Added in the v0.15.0.0 update, this map takes investigators to a deserted diner out in the countryside. You’ll find a police car parked outside, but otherwise, you’re completely alone.
Nell’s Diner offers a special experience with its own interesting features, oddities, and difficulties as you investigate the ghosts within. Here’s a guide to help you begin your ghost hunt at Nell’s Diner in Phasmophobia.
How to Unlock Nell’s Diner in Phasmophobia

You can unlock Nell’s Diner in Phasmophobia by downloading the game’s update (version 0.15.0.0), which came out on November 11, 2025. You don’t need to reach a specific character level or prestige rank to access the map. Just make sure your game is fully updated, and you’ll be ready to play!
You’ll find Nell’s Diner on the map selection screen in the main lobby. It’s located in the top row, between 10 Ridgeview Court and Grafton Farmhouse, just like in the image shown.
How to Complete Nell’s Diner Discovery Challenge in Phasmophobia
The Nell’s Diner Discovery Challenge was added to Phasmophobia with the Nell’s Diner update (version 0.15.0.0). You can find details about the challenge by interacting with the Event Board in the main lobby – look for the brochure in the top right corner.
To finish this challenge, you must find the ghost at Nell’s Diner and complete 50 contracts. You can check how close you are to finishing by looking at the progress bar in the Nell’s Diner Discovery brochure. Once you’ve finished the 50th contract, you’ll get the Nomad ID Card and Badge as a reward, which you can find in the Debriefing menu after that final contract.
How to Complete Nell’s Diner Weekly Challenge (Open For Business) in Phasmophobia
The recent Phasmophobia update (v0.15.0.0) introduced a new map, Nell’s Diner, and a new optional weekly challenge called ‘Open For Business’. Like other weekly challenges, you’ll earn a $5,000 reward for successfully completing three contracts while the challenge is active. You’ll have to use the equipment provided for the challenge, but thankfully, it’s all Tier 3 gear – meaning you’ll have everything you need to investigate the diner.
Keep in mind that this challenge includes windy weather, which was added with the Nell’s Diner update. To make things trickier, most of the doors inside the diner will begin open. However, the wind itself doesn’t change how the ghost behaves – it’s just for atmosphere. You won’t be able to hear the wind inside, so it won’t interfere with listening for ghost activity.
Okay, so the good news is this week’s challenge actually gives us a breaker right away, which is awesome – usually those are super hard to come by! It’ll save my sanity, for sure. But just a heads-up, don’t forget to use those Night Vision Goggles when it gets dark. They’re a lifesaver for finding your way around!
To finish a contract in the challenge, you just need to figure out who the ghost is and then safely return to headquarters (or make sure at least one teammate does if you’re playing with a group). You don’t have to complete the extra goals given during the contract, and you don’t need to collect any photos or videos. Once you’ve identified the ghost, you can leave and end the contract immediately.
After you finish your third contract for the challenge, you’ll get a $5,000 bonus, plus all the points you earned from that contract, in the Debriefing menu.
The ‘Open For Business’ challenge is available starting with the Nell’s Diner update and will run until the weekly challenges reset on November 16, 2025. After that date, it will be added to the regular lineup of weekly challenges. If you don’t complete it during this initial period, it will reappear randomly as part of the weekly challenge rotation.
All Cursed Object Locations at Nell’s Diner in Phasmophobia
Like all the maps in Phasmophobia, Nell’s Diner can contain any of the game’s Cursed Objects. Each object has a specific spot where it might appear, but whether it actually spawns depends on the difficulty level you choose before starting the game—or if you’re playing in Challenge Mode.
Below is a list of the confirmed spawn locations at Nell’s Diner for each Cursed Object.
| Cursed Object | Location |
|---|---|
| Ouija Board | On a box inside the Utility Room |
| Summoning Circle | On the floor in the Men’s Bathroom |
| Haunted Mirror | On the wall inside the Break Room |
| Music Box | On a table in the Manager’s Office |
| Monkey Paw | On a cutting board in the Kitchen |
| Tarot Cards | On the back counter near the cash register (opposite the Dining Area) |
| Voodoo Doll | In a booth in the back left corner of the Dining Area |
All Nell’s Diner Hiding Spots in Phasmophobia
Nell’s Diner is a smaller map in Phasmophobia, so there aren’t many places to hide during a hunt. There are only four possible hiding spots, which are:
- Lockers in the Break Room (seen above)
- Behind a Food Cart in the Cooler Room
- Behind the Blue Vending Machine in the Hallway area
- Behind a Food Cart in the Storage Room
The number of places you can hide depends on how difficult the game is set. If you choose a higher difficulty, there will be fewer hiding spots. This is especially important to remember when playing with others.
