You’re free to change your hair color whenever you want in Where Winds Meet, but there are a few things to keep in mind.
You can customize things like your eyebrow and beard color whenever you want. However, changing your hair color requires you to find specific items first. Because of this, you’ll need to think carefully about your hair color choice, as it isn’t easily changed.
Certain hairstyles, especially those you start with, don’t offer much customization, meaning you might not be able to change their color. If a hairstyle can be recolored, you’ll see a multicolored icon on its preview image.
How to Change Hair Color in Where Winds Meet
In Where Winds Meet, you can change your hair color using either Inkshade Hairdye or Timeless Hairdye.
Inkshade Hairdye lets you select natural hair colors, while Timeless Hairdye unlocks a wider range of vibrant and striking colors to really make your characters stand out.
Okay, so getting different hair dyes can be a bit of a hassle. The Inkshade dye costs 5 Essence of Earth, which isn’t too bad. But the Timeless dye? That’s where it gets tricky. You get it in stacks of five from these Hairdye Giftboxes, and each box costs one Harmonic Core. The problem is, you can only buy a limited number of those Harmonic Cores each week from the Draw Shop, so you have to plan ahead if you want a lot of Timeless dye!
When you have one of the required items, here are the steps to follow to change your hair color.
- Open the main menu inside your saved game in Where Winds Meet.
- Select the ‘Appearance’ menu.
- Find the ‘Workshop’ tab and select it.
- Choose ‘Dye’ and select the hairstyle you want to tweak.
- Select the relevant option; Basic Hair Dye if you’re using Inkshade Hairdye, or Advanced Hair Dye if you’re using Timeless Hairdye.
- Customize the hair color to suit your preferences, choosing the basic color, gradient, and highlights.
- Save your design to confirm your choices.
Double-check your hairdye design before saving it. If you want to make changes later, you’ll have to collect all the materials again, so make sure you’re happy with it first.
