Legendary Entertainment has consistently used creative marketing for its Monsterverse films. They first gained attention by hiding the Titan Shimo in a cave painting within the video game Call of Duty: Warzone, and later created an interactive Monarch website with Titan information and a Godzilla tracker for Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Now, they’ve done something similar to promote season 2 of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, launching another website for fans eager to explore the Monsterverse.
The Apple TV+ series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters will be back on February 27, 2026, continuing the story from its first season. The new season takes place between the events of the 2014 and 2019 Godzilla movies. A trailer for season 2 hints that Godzilla and Kong might join forces to defeat a powerful new monster called Titan X – a huge, tentacled creature that lives in the water and has glowing red eyes and teeth.
Although trailers haven’t revealed much about Titanus X’s origins or powers, it’s already clear this monster is unlike any we’ve seen in the Monsterverse. Its massive size and terrifying appearance suggest it will take both Kong and the current Godzilla to defeat it, and a new clip confirms the incredibly high stakes.
You Can Access A One-Minute Titan X Clip Via A Secret Website
Legendary Entertainment recently launched a minimalist website, monarchdeeprift.com. The site features a 24-second audio clip containing roaring sounds, likely from a Titan, mixed with static and white noise. Visitors can download the audio or listen to it directly on the page. A button on the site lets users attempt to log in with a password to ‘Request Authorization’.
The website offered a hint: “What you hear is only the surface. The truth is buried in the shape of the sound.” I couldn’t decipher the audio file on my own, so I checked Reddit. Fortunately, others had discovered that running the audio through a spectrogram – which creates a visual representation of the sound – reveals a hidden Morse code message.
A Reddit user, u/2cuc/, successfully solved the puzzle and discovered the password to proceed: 019732433. Entering this password unlocks a one-minute video showing a young Lee Shaw (played by Wyatt Russell) and Keiko Randa (Mari Yamamoto) escaping through a village, pursued by what seem to be the early, larval forms of Titan X.
Okay, buckle up, because things really kick off around the midpoint of this clip. We finally get a full, glorious look at Titan X rising from the ocean, and let me tell you, it’s massive. This isn’t just a glimpse – we’re talking a full-on display of power, with huge roars and sweeping attacks with a gigantic tentacle aimed right at Keiko and Lee. It truly establishes Titan X as a terrifying and formidable force – honestly, the best look we’ve had yet at just how dangerous this Titan is.
The New Clip Makes It Clear How Significant A Threat Titan X Really Is
Titan X is categorized as a destructive Titan by Monarch, but a recently revealed clip suggests he’s far more dangerous than initially thought. The footage shows Keiko and Lee escaping a horde of strange, tentacled creatures with spiky shells – seemingly an early form of Titan X. These creatures move like insects, scurrying across land before heading towards the ocean and, ultimately, Titan X himself.
The discovery that Titan X can reproduce rapidly is a major threat to the world, much like the danger posed by the MUTOs in Godzilla. The real problem with both Titan X and the MUTOs isn’t just their power, but how quickly their numbers could grow. While a pair of MUTOs were already a serious challenge for Godzilla, their ability to reproduce could have quickly overwhelmed the planet.
I was a little disappointed we didn’t see a lot more MUTOs in the first Godzilla film – Ford Brody took care of their nest before they could really become a problem for Godzilla or any other Titans. Honestly, I’m really excited to see how Godzilla and Kong handle a full-on swarm of those huge creatures in the future, and it makes total sense why they might need to call a temporary truce, which is exactly what’s happening in season 2 of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters.
