I’m so excited – Season 2 of One Piece is finally on Netflix! And wow, the way it ended… they just dropped a massive reveal about a character that has me totally hyped for Season 3. Seriously, you need to watch it!

Throughout the first season of One Piece, Monkey D. Luffy gathered his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, as he set out to find the legendary treasure and achieve his dream of becoming the Pirate King.

In One Piece Season 2, the crew’s journey really begins as they explore exciting places like Loguetown, Whisky Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island.

Luffy meets both heroes he admires and dangerous enemies during his journey, including characters like Miss Wednesday, Smoker, Dr. Kureha, Tony Tony Chopper, Dr. Hiriluk, Mr. 3, and the intimidating Wapol. These encounters move the story forward, so be warned: spoilers follow…

Luffy and the Straw Hats save Drum Kingdom

In the last episodes of One Piece Season 2, the main villain is Wapol, a cruel ruler with a strange ability: he can eat anything and turn it into whatever he desires, often creating dangerous, spiky weapons to attack his foes.

In episode 8, ‘Deer and Loathing in Drum Kingdom,’ Luffy fights Wapol inside Drum Castle. Meanwhile, the rest of the Straw Hat crew, along with their new friend Tony Tony Chopper, battle Wapol’s soldiers and creatures outside the castle.

While battling Luffy, Wapol unexpectedly opened his enormous mouth, revealing a cannon pointed right at him. However, Vivi quickly intervened, forcefully closing Wapol’s mouth, causing the cannon to fire inside his own mouth.

The battle then began, with Wapol unleashing all his weapons and Luffy skillfully dodging everything. Finally, Luffy blasted Wapol out of the castle window and far beyond the kingdom’s borders. This decisive victory caused Wapol’s monster army to fall apart, bringing an end to his short-lived reign.

Now that Drum Kingdom is safe, the doctors who were held captive have been released, and Luffy is back with the rest of the Straw Hat crew.

Luffy is constantly searching for new crew members and invites Chopper to join the Straw Hats. However, Tony Tony isn’t sure a reindeer is a good fit for their group of humans.

Luffy, as usual, was determined, and Tony Tony quickly rigged up a pink sleigh to take them down the mountain. He also stepped into the role of the ship’s doctor.

As they sailed towards new waters, cherry blossom petals were launched into the air – a deliberate attempt to restore hope to the people of the Drum Kingdom. During this, Dr. Kurhea mentioned that the legendary pirate ‘Gold Roger’ was actually known as ‘Gold D. Roger,’ hinting at a possible connection to Luffy.

The Straw Hat crew decides to team up with Vivi to stop the Baroque Works organization and rescue the kingdom of Alabasta. Unbeknownst to them, Smoker and Tashigi are also on their way to Alabasta.

Vivi explains that figuring out who Mr. 0 really is is the first step. We eventually discover the answer ourselves while inside his underwater base: Mr. 0 is actually Sir Crocodile, portrayed by Joe Manganiello.

At the end of Episode 8, Crocodile lets out a wild laugh and announces that ‘Operation Utopia’ is beginning. This plan will lead to the downfall of Alabasta and bring him closer to finding the legendary One Piece treasure.

The story is going to happen! One Piece Season 3 has been officially approved, and a lot of it has already been filmed. Plus, characters like Bon Clay, Miss Doublefinger, and Portgas D. Ace will definitely be appearing.
