ARC Raiders is a recently released extraction shooter, and if you’re considering playing, here’s an update on how many players are currently enjoying it.
ARC Raiders is the hot new game everyone’s talking about. It recently launched and is quickly becoming incredibly popular.
It’s become incredibly popular – even the well-known streamer shroud thinks it deserves Game of the Year over Expedition 33.
Look, there’s a lot of competition in the extraction-shooter genre – Escape from Tarkov is a big one, for example – but I’ve been really curious about how ARC Raiders is performing. Here’s what I’ve found out about its player numbers so far:
ARC Raiders player count

Right now, ARC Raiders has over 333,000 players online, according to SteamDB. That’s just a bit below its peak of around 384,000 players from the last 24 hours.
It’s important to remember these player numbers are just from Steam. Because the game is also on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and GeForce Now, the total number of players is likely much larger.
Peak player count
Embark Studios announced that ARC Raiders reached a peak of 700,000 players simultaneously across all platforms on November 11, 2025.
They announced that since the tunnels opened to the surface a little over a week ago, they had over 700,000 players exploring Topside at the same time this past weekend!
Hi Raiders!
It’s been just over a week since we opened the tunnels allowing you to explore the surface, and we were thrilled to see over 700,000 Raiders playing at the same time this past weekend! 🥳 We’re so glad you’re all here, and we’re loving seeing all the different ways you’re enjoying ARC…

The game was already doing well, but reaching this milestone is a significant achievement. To put that in perspective, another game, ARC Raiders, had 100,000 players online within 30 minutes of its launch.
After that, the number continued to increase, hitting a high of 459,483 on November 10, 2025, until the developers announced an updated figure.

ARC Raiders is doing remarkably well compared to other shooting games. In just over a week since its release, it’s had over 333,000 players online at the same time on Steam, peaking at over 600,000. This puts it ahead of popular games in the genre, like Escape from Tarkov, and even the popular parody game, Escape from Duckov.
The game’s player numbers are comparable to those of Battlefield 6, which is a great achievement for a new game. It’s also performing much better than Helldivers 2. While it still has a long way to go to reach the popularity of Fortnite, this level of success is really impressive for a recently released extraction shooter.
