The event unveiled not only a brand-new chapter in the franchise – Ninja Gaiden 4, but also a remastered version of an old favorite, titled Ninja Gaiden 2: Black. Originally debuting in 2008, Ninja Gaiden 2 has since been made available across multiple platforms in various iterations. Each version may feature distinct alterations such as alternate bosses and playable characters.

The updated version of Ninja Gaiden 2, named Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, was launched on January 23 and is accessible on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Players can even give it a spin through the Game Pass subscription. Koei Tecmo’s developers have leveraged Unreal Engine 5 to enhance the game’s visuals, particularly by refining aspects such as lighting effects and character models.
