His ability to weave chilling tales, as demonstrated in his directorial debut “The Last Rite,” showcases an undeniable knack for tapping into our primal fears and creating atmospheres that leave us on the edge of our seats.
Under the go-ahead from Nocturnal Pictures, the horror feature film titled “As Night Falls” will commence filming this month in Kent, England. The movie has been described as a blend of “A Quiet Place” and “It Follows,” by the producers.
The movie is penned and helmed by Leroy Kincaide, who has previously worked on “The Last Rite,” and features Jack Parr (known for “Take Cover” and “The Last Breath”) and Sophia Eleni (recognized from “Call the Midwife” and “Walking Against the Rain”).
“At any hour, a mysterious figure drawn to noise is hiding in the darkness, stalking the few residents left from a town enclosed by an industrial park who are struggling to survive.
Kincaide stated that this movie will uncover deep-seated fears and challenge areas we usually shun, instinctively. It’s a tale that flourishes in mood and mystery, displaying exceptional UK skill and ghostly narratives at their finest.
The ensemble includes Aaron-Jon North (from “The Nun II” and “The Burning Girls”), Fran McAteer, Dale Hayes, David Sayers, Oliver Smiles, and Millie-Sue Hayward.
The producers are Kincaide and Chloe Chudasama.
“As Night Falls” will debut in the fall 2025.
Previously, Kincaide was a pro wrestler, but later moved into the movie business. In 2014, he established Nocturnal Pictures, where he has penned and directed various short films and music videos. His first full-length directorial venture, “The Last Rite,” is now available for streaming on Hulu, and it’s distributed by Samuel Goldwyn Films.
