Team Cherry recently released an update for Hollow Knight: Silksong, and they’ve already followed it up with another beta patch. This new update seems to be even more focused than the first, primarily addressing translation issues and player controls.
A major update includes the addition of rumble features. The developers have also completely overhauled the Chinese translation, addressing previous criticism and promising further improvements based on what players think. The original translation was poorly received and caused a lot of negative reviews.
So, this new beta patch is mostly just polishing things up – little tweaks to make the game smoother. Honestly, the update from earlier this week was way bigger, especially with the DualSense Edge controller support. Team Cherry did release a patch to make *Silksong* a bit easier, but if you’re *really* struggling, I’d suggest checking out some mods. There are a bunch out there that can help you breeze through!
A new update, version 1.0.28954, is now available for Silksong players on Steam. However, it doesn’t install automatically. If you’d like to try out the update, here’s how to enable it:
- Right-click the game in your library
- Select Properties
- Go to the Betas tab
- Select the current beta branch option
- Download the new update
Team Cherry hasn’t revealed how many copies of Silksong have been sold, but analysts estimate it’s already exceeded 4.2 million sales on consoles and PC. The game is also now a top 20 most-played title on Steam ever.
