Since launching five years ago, Hitman: World of Assassination has become available on many devices, including PCs, phones, and even the Nintendo Switch (via cloud gaming). Soon, players will be able to continue their game progress seamlessly across all these platforms thanks to a new cross-progression feature.
IO Interactive celebrated the fifth anniversary of their stealth-action game by announcing details about cross-progression, which launches on February 3rd. Once live, your progress in challenges, items you’ve collected, and even achievements will be saved online. This means you can continue playing Agent 47 and pick up right where you left off, no matter what platform you’re using.
Just keep in mind that cross-progression only lets you use saves from one main game file. This is simple if you have Hitman on a single platform and then move to another. However, if you have save files on multiple platforms, you’ll need to pick just one to transfer over. The good news is that cross-progression can be turned off, so you can still keep all your separate save files if you prefer.

Hitman: World of Assassination, initially known as Hitman 3 when it launched in 2021, combines the levels from Hitman (2016) and Hitman 2 (2018). For players who have been with the series since the beginning, a recent update lets you continue where you left off, even if you started playing nearly ten years ago.
World of Assassination continues to receive new content, including challenging Elusive Target missions where Agent 47 takes on figures like Eminem. The game recently launched on the Nintendo Switch 2, but that version experienced some performance issues at release.
Despite the studio now concentrating on the upcoming (and recently pushed back) James Bond game, 007 First Light, IO Interactive assures fans that a new Hitman game will eventually happen.
