Brendan Greene, the creator of PUBG: Battlegrounds, began open beta testing for his new project, Prologue: Go Wayback!, around two and a half months ago. Now, PlayerUnknown Productions has announced when the survival game will be available in Early Access.
The game Prologue: Go Wayback! will launch on PC (Steam) on November 20th. It will cost $19.99, but pre-orders aren’t available yet, so you’ll be able to purchase it when the game is released.
When the game releases, players will have three ways to play:
Go Wayback!, which focuses on surviving and reaching a weather tower;
Objective: Survive, a mode where you try to last as long as possible with limited supplies; and
Free Roam, letting you explore the world without worrying about basic needs like hunger, thirst, or cold. While
Go Wayback! has been available before,
Objective: Survive and
Free Roam are brand new. Players who have tested the Prologue: Go Wayback! beta can try them out now, along with three new flashlights and a pry tool.
In the latest game update (version 0.21492), character hands now appear dirtier to look more realistic in their surroundings. The generator now includes an in-game fuel gauge, which is displayed on the device itself, not just on the screen. The update also features more diverse rivers and riverbanks, and the fog now dynamically adjusts to the current weather. For a complete list of changes and additions, see the developer’s announcement.
The Prologue: Go Wayback! version will be available on Steam Early Access starting November 20th. Players will be able to customize their experience with adjustable settings and a map editor, and they can even share their creations with friends using map seeds. Plus, you’ll be able to pause the game at any time. The save system is still undergoing testing.
