Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era launches into Steam Early Access on April 30

Unfrozen Studio revealed that their turn-based strategy game, Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, will be available on Steam Early Access starting April 30th.

Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era is a brand new installment in the beloved series, marking the first new game in over a decade. It will offer a story-driven campaign, various ways to play including skirmishes and an arena, and both single-player and multiplayer options. You can add it to your wishlist on Steam and try an early version through the Game Preview program on the Microsoft Store.

Hooded Horse, Unfrozen Studio, and Ubisoft are thrilled to announce that Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era will launch into Early Access on Steam and as a Game Preview title on the Microsoft Store on April 30, 2026. Players with an Xbox Game Pass subscription will be able to play it on day one.

Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era welcomes both longtime fans and new players to a reimagining of the beloved strategy series. Enjoy classic and new ways to play, whether you prefer a solo adventure or teaming up with friends. Build your empire through careful strategy, then lead your armies in exciting turn-based battles, all enriched by deep RPG elements. Explore a brand-new, beautifully realized world filled with hidden secrets and perilous challenges.

After more than a decade, a new Heroes game is coming, and it’s set to make a big impact! Players will explore diverse maps – some created randomly, others carefully designed – build impressive cities, and command huge armies of legendary creatures. You can battle through a story campaign, play in Single Hero or Classic skirmishes, compete in the Arena, tackle premade scenarios, or challenge others online.

Okay, so I’m really excited because they’re translating the game into a TON of languages! We’re talking German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Turkish, Ukrainian, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, and even Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean, and Japanese. It’s awesome that so many players around the world will be able to enjoy it!

Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era will launch into early access on PC through Steam and the Microsoft Store on April 30, 2026. Players with Xbox Game Pass for PC will be able to play it starting on the same day.
