Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era delayed, release date unknown. However, you can already check out the strategy for free on Steam

If you were looking forward to playing Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era in Early Access this year, we have some disappointing news. The developers at Unfrozen, along with publisher Hooded Horse, have announced that the game will now launch into Early Access in 2026. They haven’t given a specific release date yet for this strategy game.

Despite the delay in the game’s release, there’s some positive news! A demo is now available for download on Steam. This demo lets you try out four different factions and includes three game modes: Classic, Single Hero, and Arena. Currently, the demo is single-player only, but the developers have confirmed that the full game will feature multiplayer, plus more factions – they’ve revealed six so far – and additional game modes.

I’m so excited to share that the game demo will be available during Steam Next Fest! It kicks off on October 13th, 2025, so mark your calendars – you’ll finally get to try it out!
