When is the Hugs & Hearts Event in Hello Kitty Island Adventure?

The initial occurrence of this event took place from February 8 to February 20, 2024, and it has since been an annual event. The upcoming event is scheduled for February 8 to February 22 in the year 2025. To fully immerse yourself in the experience, you’ll need a ‘Net’, which can be obtained by completing the quest titled ‘Open the Nature Preserve’.

How to Start the Hugs & Hearts Event

As a devoted fan, I’m excited to share that I’ll be starting my day at the charming Seaside Resort plaza, where you can usually find My Melody. However, on this special occasion, it will be Chococat who greets me there. Our conversation with him will trigger the event’s commencement, and he’ll generously guide me through the process of gathering Lovebugs and understanding their purpose.

Every day, a Lovebug in pink is born on the sandy shores of the Seaside Resort beach. To capture it, you’ll need to use your fishing net. Afterward, carry the Lovebug to the Hugs & Hearts Sanctuary, a charming glass gazebo located on the southern beach near the Docks. By delivering the Lovebug here daily, you can receive one item of event decoration each time.

Apart from the regular Lovebug pursuit every day, there’s a series of login bonuses lasting for nine days. These rewards are packed with items related to various themes, including clothing, edibles, and crafting resources. Here’s a breakdown of what you can collect daily:

Hugs & Hearts Habitat Furniture Rewards

The “Hugs & Hearts Habitat” serves as the venue for the event, allowing participants to store their Lovebugs and collect exclusive event decorations in return. If you’re lucky enough to have Tuxedosam as your companion, his unique skill could potentially double your reward, enabling you to obtain two pieces of furniture with just one Lovebug.

Each Lovebug can be exchanged for one of the following furniture items:

How to Get 2024’s Event Rewards

In the Collection section of your game, you’ll find that the Hugs & Hearts event consists of a grand total of 30 collectible items. If you didn’t participate in last year’s event due to being a new player, don’t worry! You can still acquire these items during this year’s event. Simply purchase them from the in-game characters, Tuxedosam and My Melody. Here are some key items you should keep an eye on:

Lovebugs and the Hatching Process

The primary purpose of this gathering is to accumulate Lovebugs and transfer them to the Hugs & Hearts Sanctuary. After being moved, these tiny critters will initiate their metamorphosis into chrysalises. You can gather one Lovebug each day during the event, so remember to drop by every day if you’d like to reap as many rewards as possible.

Towards the culmination of the gathering, the chrysalis will emerge as Heartwings, gracefully flying over the island. As the festivities wind down, Keroppi will share that one Heartwing has developed a special attachment to the island and wishes to remain. He’ll then bestow upon you a Heartwing as an enduring token of the celebration.
